I just watched this pretty good Thai horror movie called "Dorm." The movie poster marketed it as a really scary movie, but I found it rather heart-warming and a coming-to-age movie with some scary elements. I mean, given it's a ghost story, of course it's supposed to be scary but it's not as terrifying as "The Ring" or "Shutter." Thank goodness for that. And I felt that it's actually one of the better Thai movies around. Would highly recommend that.
It's about a boy who was sent to a boarding school where he befriended Vichien. Initially, things seemed normal but when he came encountering unexplainable moments like dogs howling in unison, he had reason to believe that something supernatural was going on. Of course I'm not going to mention how he found out about his friend... it's similar to The Sixth Sense but the director is not that interested in keeping this a secret. Think I might get the DVD after this. =)
